A 2019 NNPS/Telecom graduate is making a career for himself in the television news industry. Derick Miracle, who spent two years in the Telecom program and graduated from Woodside High School, recently joined WTKR News 3 in Norfolk as a photojournalist.
Two NNPS Telecom students earned third-place awards at the SkillsUSA Virginia State Leadership Conference, which was held in Virginia Beach April 21 - 23.
Kelsey Jones, who attended the NNPS Telecom program, is currently working in the industry, at WTKR News 3 in Norfolk.
WAVY-TV 10 news anchor Don Roberts, who recently retired after more than three decades with the station, visited Telecom to be interviewed for a student-produced TV show.
Two graduates of the NNPS Telecom program were recognized for their work covering the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) Annual Convention in Williamsburg last fall.
