Two graduates of the NNPS Telecom program were recognized for their work covering the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) Annual Convention in Williamsburg last fall.
Brandon Hedgepeth and fellow Telecom alumnus Collin Smalls were recognized for their work gathering video footage at the VSBA event. The footage will be used to make a promo video to advertise next year's conference.
They received certificates of "special recognition," which were presented to them by Telecom Supervisor Ray Price.
The crew was led by Price, who was Producer/Director of the production. It was a two-day production with a very early morning crew call on the second day.
Hedgepeth, a 2020 Woodside High graduate, and Smalls, a 2019 Menchville High graduate, spent two days working at the convention.
The team recorded guest speaker presentations and discussion panels, school performances, and exhibition hall vendor booths. They did interviews with participants and covered the early morning 5K run.
Hedgepeth and Smalls have worked on many Telecom crews, covering sports, graduations, and more for NNPS.
