Telecom students recently had a visit from a representative of Full Sail University, a college that offers degrees related to entertainment, arts, media, and technology.

Jason Frey, Senior Outreach Representative for High School Outreach, spoke with TV Production classes and had a tour of the Telecom facilities and remote production trucks.

Full Sail's High School Partnership Program, which Telecom joined this year, aims to enhance the development of future entertainment and media professionals. It offers interactive classroom experiences, guest lectures, and scholarship opportunities.

Frey's visit was a way to connect with students and see an example of an outstanding high school TV Production program.

Telecom students asked questions after the presentation, especially about gaming. Full Sail has bachelor's degree programs in Game Art, Game Design, Game Development, and Simulation and Visualization.

Frey took note of all the Telecom program has to offer, and was intrigued by the two remote video production trucks owned by NNPS-TV.

"You have a truly impressive setup for your program," Frey wrote to Telecom Supervisor Ray Price after the visit, "and your students seemed incredibly invested in their projects."

Full Sail University is located in Winter Park, FL, but a majority of students attend online.
