TV production crew at football game

The Telecom planets aligned at the Old Dominion University football game vs. the University of Buffalo on Saturday, September 25.

Telecom Supervisor Ray Price, who often works as a freelance TV camera operator at sporting events, was part of the ODU/ESPN TV production crew — along with THREE of his former Telecom students.

Reggie Crudup, who is TV/Media Instructor at Woodside High School, was an on-field camera operator, as was Lateef Gibson. Gibson is a Video Producer/Director and Adjunct Professor at Norfolk State University. Both are Telecom graduates who studied TV production under Price.

Gibson graduated from Ferguson High in 1994 and Crudup from Warwick in 1998.

Also on duty that night was Jasmine Graham, a 2013 Telecom graduate, who served as Audio/Video Production Technician. She is a Video Production Specialist for Hampton City Public Schools' WHCS Channel 46.

Price has been with Telecom since 1992, as Instructor, Assistant Supervisor, and Supervisor. His many former students are employed in the TV/Media industry all around the country. Running into them while working locally is a thrill for him and a source of pride.

"I am always excited and proud to see our students leave Telecom and go on to work in the industry," Price said.
