Inspired by the National Geographic book series of the same name, Weird But True! features the Engelman siblings exploring unusual facts about a broad range of subjects, mostly focusing on science and nature. They interview experts and travel to locations such as crime labs, amusement parks, and the Everglades to find answers to their questions. Additionally, crafting is something of an obsession for Kirby, so paper models are used heavily to visually explain concepts.
