This high school academic quiz show, which is in its 23rd season, is recorded in Richmond and has been hosted by Cheryl Miller for over 20 years.

"Battle of the Brains" is sponsored by Invest 529, and features teams from across Central Virginia competing for scholarships. The winning team earns $10,000 for their school.

The program format includes toss-up rounds and a category round, where points are awarded for correct answers, and can be deducted for interrupting a question with an incorrect answer. The show airs in Richmond on WTVR CBS 6 and on WTKR Channel 3 in Hampton Roads.
