The Telecom crew recently recorded the second annual NNPS Band Expo.

Held at Todd Stadium October 18, the Band Expo featured the marching bands from Denbigh, Menchville, Warwick, Woodside, and Heritage high schools performing their half-time shows.

Elementary school drum lines, the Riverside Booming Bears and the Katherine Johnson Crimson Thunder, entertained the crowd before the high school bands performed.

All the high school bands, and eighth graders from all middle schools, joined together to play the national anthem at the start of the showcase.

The event was recorded by Telecom for TV and the web. The team was led by Telecom Supervisor Ray Price, who was Producer, and Telecom Instructor Carl Daniels, Jr., who was Director.

Telecom grads Joshua Stuck, Muriel Gamble, and Collin Smalls were part of the crew (camera), as were two current Telecom students: Ryan Hedgepeth (audio/graphics) and Ethan Clinkenbeard (camera). The students are seniors at Woodside High.

The TV team used their ATEM Mini Pro portable switcher for the four-camera production.

The event, which was free and open to the public, was a success, as was the video production.

The show will air on NNPS-TV Cox Channel 47, Verizon Fios Channel 17, on Roku and Apple TV, and online at nnpstv.com/webstream in November and December. It is also available on demand on the Telecom student YouTube channel.
