The long-running Sports Highlights show features local, regional, national, and international guests.
The show was created by Telecommunications Supervisor Paul Cummings in 1992 and won a Communicator's Award in 1999 and Honorable Mention in 2005. Director-Producer Ray Price and host Greg Bicouvaris (pictured right) have been a team since the early days of the show, when it was recorded in a radio studio.
Sports Highlights is produced 11 times a year, and over 300 episodes have been made. The show is shot both in the studio and on location.
A wide range of players, coaches, managers, instructors and media personalities appear as guests on the interview-format show.
Some of the more prominent guests have included: Aaron Brooks, Michael Vick, David Macklin, Ronald Curry, Allen Iverson, Terry Holland, Boo Williams, Lefty Driesell, Bruce Smith, Mike London, George Welsh, Frank Beamer, Wendy Larry, Francena McCorory, and Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker.
Local coaches, talent, and fitness opportunities for the community are a focus of the show, too.
Sports Highlights airs on Mondays at 7 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m., and weekends at 9 a.m.
