2012 graduation and TV broadcast schedule

graduation capThe NNPS high school graduations will be held in June, and NNPS-TV will record the commencement ceremonies for replay on our channel (Cox 47/FiOS 17). DVD's will be available for purchase for $20 until June 30. After that, the price increases to $25. Read more.



Telecom competes at, streams & records SkillsUSA state conference

SkillsUSAFor the second year, Telecom students not only competed at the SkillsUSA Virginia State Leadership Conference and Skills Championships, but also produced the event for DVD. Read more.


Telecom shoots emotional 'Every 15 Minutes'

Telecom students are taking part in the powerful educational and emotional experience called "Every 15 Minutes" May 3 at Warwick High School. The national program revolves around a simulated fatal car accident caused by a student driving while impaired. More next month!

What's showing

CowboySaddle up for a ride along the trails, prairies and ranges of "Cowboy Country: The Complete Story Of The Wild West." Or venture to faraway places with "A World of Discovery" and learn about the geography, history and culture there. "Great American Speeches" gives you a front-row seat at key speeches by the most eloquent orators of the 20th century.

FOEThe new "Focus on Education" features Yates Elementary School. Watch it on TV or view the videos here. They include interviews with Principal Tiffany Johnson, AP Amy Daniel and Kindergarten Teacher Lois Ballman.

Catch the 12th Annual Dr. Mary V. Bicouvaris Memorial Tennis Tournament on Saturdays and Sundays, May 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 4 p.m.   A webcast will be available at the same time on www.nnpstv.com. The match was played April 23 and features four players from Menchville High.

The next School Board Meeting and Work Session will be held Tuesday, May 15. Both meetings will be covered live by NNPS-TV starting at 5:30 p.m. with the Work Session. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. You can also watch the webcast of the live event or the replays. The school board meetings are also available on youtube. More about the meetings.
