NNPS-TV (Cox Ch. 47/Verizon Ch. 17) will carry a live feed of the solar eclipse occurring on Monday, August 21.

The live feed will be provided by The Center for Educational Media at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, which is directly in the path of the eclipse.

Coverage begins at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time and will continue through "totality" to 2:45 p.m. Totality will be at 2:29 p.m. (in Murfreesboro).

MTSU will enhance the eclipse viewing with experts, videos, and slides provided by the MTSU astronomy department, as well as a live feed from NASA. Included will be Ron Henderson speaking about Eclipse Geometry, Chuck Higgins describing Eclipse Path & Safety, and John Wallin giving information on what viewers will see during the eclipse.

Avoid the traffic and watch this phenomenal astronomical occurrence from your own TV or computer. NNPS-TV airs on Cox Channel 47 and Verizon FiOS Channel 17.
