Students and staff from Telecom are covering high school basketball live, and already have one game under their belts.
The January 27 Denbigh vs. Warwick games, which were broadcast live, will air again on Saturday and Sunday, February 4 and 5, at 7 p.m. Girls play first, followed by boys.
The fast pace of basketball provides another learning experience for the students, who worked on football in the fall. The dozen or so students working the games are from both TV Production I and TV Production II classes. They work on the broadcasts from positions in the gym and in the remote TV production truck.
The games are aired live if possible, and also taped for re-play. The games can also be viewed via webcast by going to nnpstv.com and clicking on the red promo on the right during the TV broadcast.
Two more games are scheduled to be shown live:
Games start at 5:30 p.m. with the girls, followed by the boys' game at 7 p.m.
The January 31 Menchville vs Heritage games will air on NNPS-TV (Cox Ch. 47/FiOS Ch. 17) Saturday and Sunday (February 11 and 12) at 7 p.m. Girls play first, followed by boys.
The February 7 games will be re-played on NNPS-TV on Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19, starting at 7 p.m.
