graduation capThe NNPS high school graduations were held June 9, 11 and 12. NNPS-TV video-recorded the commencement ceremonies for replay on NNPS-TV Cox 47/FiOS 17. DVDs will be available for purchase. *Note: There has been a change in the times of Woodside's broadcast on July 1.

 

Every year, NNPS-TV records the Newport News Public Schools awards ceremonies to air on NNPS-TV Cox Channel 47/Verizon FiOS Channel 17 during the summer. End-of-the-year ceremonies include: STAR Awards (Elementary and Secondary), Teachers of the Year, Salute to Success, Exemplary Support Staff Awards, and the NNPS Retirement Banquet.

 

City CouncilThe "Sports Highlights" team of Telecom Supervisor Ray Price (Executive Producer and Director) and Greg Bicouvaris (Show Host), along with show creator Paul Cummings, was recognized by the City of Newport News for 25 years of service producing the TV show featuring interviews with local and national sports figures. The city council issued a "Resolution of Recognition" congratulating them and wishing them continued success in the future.
